PAO-65: Non-Traditional Remote Services Policy
Purpose:
This policy ensures that B-5 ECEAP providers are able to continue delivering comprehensive services to children and families during temporary, unforeseen circumstances that prevent the delivery of traditional, in-person services. Providers must create a written policy to ensure continuity of care through non-traditional remote services (NTRS).
Policy Guidelines:
- Creation of Non-Traditional Remote Services (NTRS) Policy: Contractors and B-5 ECEAP providers must develop a written NTRS policy to outline how services will be modified and delivered remotely during unforeseen circumstances.
- Key Components of the Policy: The NTRS policy must address the following areas:
(a) Remote Work Capability: Ensure that staff are equipped to work remotely, including access to necessary technology, tools, and resources to perform their duties effectively.
(b) Provision of Comprehensive Services: Staff must be able to continue providing comprehensive services to families remotely. This includes maintaining communication, outreach, and support to ensure that families' needs are met.
(c) Modified Comprehensive Services: Families must receive modified ECEAP services in the following key areas, even when services are provided remotely:
- (i) Education: Remote learning strategies and educational support for children.
- (ii) Health: Continued health screenings, follow-ups, and referrals.
- (iii) Family Support: Ongoing family engagement and support services to help families navigate challenges.
(d) Documentation of NTRS: All remote services must be documented in the ELMS Monthly Report, ensuring transparency and accountability in the provision of non-traditional services.
This policy ensures that B-5 ECEAP providers are prepared to deliver uninterrupted, high-quality services to families, even during temporary disruptions to traditional service delivery methods
